Caro is a senior solicitor in the immigration team based in the Auckland office. She has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/ Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Relations) from the University of Auckland. Her Honours dissertation was on Refugee Law, and in particular was about the application of the particular social group ground of the Refugee Convention.
Caro joined Lane Neave after spending almost four years as a litigator at of one of New Zealand’s leading law firms, working on high-profile legal matters. From this, she brings fined-tuned problem-solving and research skills. She is enjoying applying her legal application skills to the world of immigration. In particular, Caro has expertise in legal drafting, which she brings to such work as border exceptions, special directions, and IPT appeals.
